Maths Tutors
Patrick Duignan
Patrick is from Wexford Town. He is studying Financial Maths in UCD. He achieved 625 points in his Leaving Cert. He teaches our 1st Year Maths classes, and he’s calm and cool in his classes.
Ruth Keane
Ruth is our primary school tutor for 5th and 6th Class. A Mullingar native, she is studying Engineering in Trinity. She’s warm, friendly and really encourages her students to engage in class. That’s central to her teaching. She’s a super teacher.
Hannah Hegarty
Hannah is studying Financial Maths in UCC. She’s originally from Ennis, Co. Clare. That engagement and sense of fun is key to her teaching style. She’s clear, speaks slowly, and is a breath of fresh air in class. A fantastic teacher to our 4th Class students.
How We Train Our Tutors
Every Breakthrough Maths tutor goes through an intensive training programme before teaching a single class. We don’t recruit tutors who just know maths, we recruit those who know how to teach it.
Our philosophy is simple: students learn more when they’re engaged. That’s why every tutor is trained to deliver energetic, interactive lessons that build confidence, encourage participation and keep every student involved from start to finish. Throughout the year, we continue coaching our tutors to ensure every Breakthrough Maths class delivers the same high standard of teaching, no matter which tutor is leading it.
It’s this commitment to training, consistency and student engagement that makes our tutors unique.
