Our Tutor
Patrick
Patrick is from Wexford Town. He is studying Financial Maths in UCD. He achieved 625 points in his Leaving Cert. He teaches our 1st year Maths classes, and he’s calm and cool in his classes.
How do classes work?
For the 1st Years, we start with Algebra. Algebra is the core of the 1st Year Christmas Test and Summer Test, so we have to make sure it is up to scratch.
We build from there week by week. The program covers 2 different Maths topics each week. On Monday and Tuesday it’s the same topic; Wednesday and Thursday it’s a different topic.
Class is taught by Patrick, at the same time every single week. We keep the routine consistent.
Extra Masterclasses
Breakthrough Maths students have exclusive free access to our Easter and Back-to-School courses.
Frequently throughout the year we will also do once off, topic-specific Masterclasses.
Our Masterclasses are held on Sundays to not interfere with our weekly grinds.
x4 Weekly Maths Grinds
Each week Breakthrough Maths students have access to 4 one hour grinds, delivered live by Patrick on our online platform..
One topic is covered on Monday and Tuesday and another topic on Wednesday and Thursday.
Patrick teaches at the same time each week. All classes are recorded and sent to students every Sunday.

FAQ’s
Our grinds are taught in groups.
The student can see and interact with only with the tutor. Your child can ask questions any time in the chat portal, and the tutor will address them throughout class.
We offer the flexibility to access any class each week. Each week we will be teaching two different topics, so your child has a choice in when they want to attend.
Our 1st Year classes run for about 60 mins.
They’re students at the end of the day and school is already long enough, so we don’t expect them to focus for more than that length of time.
We’ve been teaching for years now and have dealt with hundreds of kids with learning difficulties. Don’t worry, our tutors are well-equipped to teach children of all learning abilities and levels.
We take our time with them and make sure they get the extra attention that they need.
1st Year grinds is €149 per month, and your child will have: 4 grinds per week + access to all recordings + access to all supplementary notes and resources.

Yes, we do follow the Irish school curriculum across the Junior Cycle. Most schools do the same topic at the same time of the year. We match that teaching plan.
Yes, each class is recorded. Your child will receive access to our recordings folder upon enrolment. Every class is recorded and uploaded after the lesson. Rewatch classes anytime and catch up on anything they may have missed.
