Breakthrough Maths Wins National Award
We’ve just gone and won another national award!
And I am proud as punch.
When I first started Breakthrough Maths, the idea was simple. Make maths easier for kids. No jargon. No pressure. Just proper teaching that actually helps students improve.
A few years later, thousands of students across Ireland and the UK have joined our classes. Some stay for years. Some pop in for a term or two before big exams. That’s the beauty of it. You can dip in, pick the right level, open the laptop, and start learning straight away.
Our setup is structured, but flexible. Every student gets four live online maths classes a week. The same tutor. The same small group. The same focus on building confidence. Every class is recorded, so nothing gets missed. Parents love the structure, and students love that it feels calm, not stressful.
We teach from First Year right up to Leaving Cert, and now we’ve expanded into GCSE in the UK. It’s taken a lot of work to build something that works at that scale, but it’s starting to show.
Seedcorn Award
his year, Breakthrough Maths won its second national award of 2025. We were recognised by InterTrade Ireland as one of the Seedcorn Investor Readiness Munster winners. It’s a huge moment for our team. A sign that what we’re doing isn’t just helping students, but also shaping how education can be delivered online.
We were also featured in The Business Post, who called our approach a “new way to do maths grinds that actually works.” That’s probably the best way to describe it. It’s not just classes. It’s a system that’s proven itself.
Because maths isn’t something you can cram or bluff your way through. It’s built over time. Students need repetition, structure, and a sense of progress. That’s exactly what our classes are designed to deliver. Four lessons a week means consistent learning, not just last-minute panic before exams.
It’s also about confidence. You can see the change in a student once they realise they can do it. They stop dreading homework. They start asking questions. They even begin to enjoy it a little. That’s when you know it’s working.
We’ve had students who came in failing their mock exams and left with H2s and H1s. Others who were terrified of maths but ended up picking higher level for Leaving Cert. The feedback from parents has been unreal. They love the clarity, the updates, and the fact that everything happens from home.
We’re proud to now be Ireland’s number one provider of online maths grinds. But the awards and features are just the bonus. What matters most is seeing students grow in confidence week after week.
