We’re running our FREE Algebra Masterclass this Sunday 18th January and it’s designed to help students build clarity and confidence in one of the most important topics in secondary school maths.
Whether your child finds algebra tricky, or just wants a boosted understanding before exams, this focused revision session helps them make real progress.
Why Algebra Matters
Every student who goes on in maths meets algebra again and again, from solving equations in junior cycle to tackling harder problems in senior cycle.
For many students, algebra feels hard because it’s taught too abstractly or too fast. But when it’s explained simply and step-by-step, it suddenly makes sense and confidence grows.
That’s exactly why we’ve created this free algebra masterclass, to give students a clear, structured, exam-focused lesson on the key parts of algebra
What Happens in the Masterclass
In this 1-hour algebra masterclass online class, your child will:
- Work through the core areas of algebra that students struggle with
- Get explanations that actually make sense
- See how algebra questions are tackled in exams
- Learn with a tutor they can interact with directly (they only see the tutor during the class)
- Receive the full class recording afterwards, which they can re-watch as many times as they like for the next 6 months, all for free
It’s interactive, focussed and tailored to your child’s year group, not a generic video or slideshow.
Who the Algebra Masterclass Is For
This masterclass is for:
1st Year Students at 1pm
We’ll cover:
- Substitution
- Linear Algebra
- Basic Inequalities
- Working confidently with letters and numbers
These are the fundamentals that make all later algebra much easier.
2nd Year Students at 12pm
We’ll focus on:
- Linear Algebra
- Basic Inequalities
- Simultaneous Equations
- Algebraic Fractions
So students can handle more complex questions with confidence.
5th Year Students at 12pm
We’ll go over:
- Algebraic Fractions
- Algebraic Inequalities
- Logs
These are exam-focused topics that show up again and again, we break them down clearly.
This targeted structure means every student gets revision that actually helps them improve.
Meet the Tutors
Our tutors don’t just know maths, they know how to teach it in a way that sticks.
✏️ Diarmuid
Diarmuid has been teaching with Breakthrough Maths for over 3 years and scored 613 points in his own Leaving Cert. He’s patient, clear, and great at breaking down tricky ideas.
🔥 Eoin
Known affectionately as “the Goat”, Eoin brings energy and simple explanations to every class. He’s in his final year studying Maths & Physics in university and makes algebra feel accessible.
Your child will see only the tutor in class, so the session feels focussed, supportive and pressure-free.
Recorded for Revision
After the live session, every student gets the full class recording sent to them for free and with 6 months access. That means they can revisit key explanations as often as they need while studying for mocks or summer exams.
